MEGADETH Mainman's Daughter To File TV Reports From CES Conference In Las Vegas
January 8, 2009Beginning January 17, MEGADETH mainman Dave Mustaine's 10-year-old daughter Electra Mustaine — who co-hosts Animal Planet's hit TV show "Faithful Friends" — together with a host of 3D animated characters, and "Faithful Friends" co-host Wanda Goldberg (who is married to retired professional wrestler Bill Goldberg),will introduce the going green segment, "Close Your Eyes and Imagine". "Close Your Eyes and Imagine" includes segments that encourage and teach us how to compost horse manure for gardening, how to use dog hair to attract birds who are nesting, how to propagate coral in the 3rd longest reef in the world in the Florida Keys and more.
Electra is only one voice, but by blending new media with traditional media her voice will encourage kids from around the world to be more educated faithful friends to their pets and their planet. At the CES (Consumer Electronics Show) conference in Las Vegas, Electra will be looking to learn how companies and executives at companies such as Mattel, Electronic Arts, ATT, DirectTV and Sesame Street are doing their part.
"We are very excited with the launch of the Pets and the Planet Adventure with Drs. Foster and Smith," said Jori Clarke, CEO of KidsCom.com. "Kids will not only learn from the 'Faithful Friends' TV show and meet Electra on her virtual world TV set in our Idea Seeker Universe, but having the opportunity to be on the real TV show should take it to a whole new learning excitement dimension."
Today's digital kids are today's and tomorrow's consumer electronics users. Kids are interested in the latest technologies, services and ideas that inspire them to play, learn and grow into their role as the next generation of digital users.
In hopes of becoming the "Faithful Friends" Kids Reporter, kids will submit digital videos to Drs. Foster and Smith.
This week, Electra will be taking some Idea Seeker Kid Reporters around CES to review and to post their recommendations on KidsCom.com about the best digital devices they can use to help the planet and their pets.

Electra previously told DogChannel.com that juggling work and school was no problem for her, as it wasn't her first time in front of the camera — she'd appeared in an online music video with her father and 16-year-old brother.
"I have worked on my dad's music videos before," she said. "My brother and I were Tarzan and Jane and we were digging for bones and then we discovered a door and my dad was there in a studio ... It was funny to watch my dad because he was banging around in his chair and on his knees; I thought he was going to fall over but he didn't! All my friends came over for Bible study and I was like 'guys come check this out!' because I was so excited and they loved it.”
Electra has also traveled the world with her family. Some of the places she has visited include London, France, Canada, Michigan, Washington and Australia.
"When we went to Australia we rode camels on the beach, and of course my dad was on the back camel on his cell phone," she told DogChannel.com. "We also went to the Australian zoo and my dad got us into the cages to feed the animals. We feed koalas, porcupines, hedgehogs, sugar gliders, owls and a bunch of other animals … Having a dad as a rock star is fun because you get to go to a lot of places, but you don't get to spend a lot of time with him because he is always on the road. When he is home and you get to go to the places he goes it's fun. But his band mates are kind of weird!"
